Beyond the Inline-Four — A Closer Look at the VOGE RR660S
What kind of riding experience does a four-cylinder engine deliver when paired with the aggressive styling of a modern sportbike?
For many riders, a four-cylinder motorcycle represents high-revving sound, strong performance, and pure riding excitement. But once you get on the VOGE RR660S, you quickly realize it is not just another “four-cylinder supersport” focused only on speed. Rather than chasing an overly aggressive personality, the RR660S aims to offer a riding experience that balances excitement with confidence and control.
In this review, we take a closer look at the RR660S from three key perspectives: design, engine performance, and real-world riding experience.
Design: Speed and Style in Perfect Balance
At first glance, the RR660S immediately stands out with its strong yet flowing body lines. Its overall stance feels aggressive and ready to launch forward, while still maintaining a refined sense of balance.
The front fairing adopts a biomimetic-inspired design language, paired with sharp eagle-eye LED headlights that give the motorcycle a confident and focused appearance.

From the side, a smooth character line extends naturally from the front end to the tail section, preserving the sharp attitude expected from a sportbike while also giving the RR660S a unique sense of elegance.

The rear section continues the sporty theme. The raised tail design and distinctive taillight shape enhance the supersport atmosphere while visually shifting the bike’s center of gravity rearward for a more dynamic look.

Overall, the RR660S is not designed simply to “look fast.” Its styling reflects a thoughtful balance between aerodynamics, body proportions, and visual impact.
Performance: The Character of the KEN660 Inline-Four
If the exterior defines the RR660S’s presence, the engine defines its personality.
The RR660S is powered by VOGE’s self-developed KEN660 liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder, 16-valve engine with an actual displacement of 662.8cc. It produces a maximum output of 74kW at 11,500rpm and 64N·m of torque at 10,000rpm. Under ram-air conditions, peak power increases to 76kW, while the engine can rev all the way up to 13,000rpm.

Beyond the numbers, what truly makes this engine appealing is the way it delivers power.
Instead of feeling overly aggressive or abrupt, the RR660S offers a smooth and progressive acceleration experience. Once the engine passes around 7,000rpm, the stronger side of the powerband begins to emerge, and the high-revving nature of the inline-four becomes increasingly noticeable.
The acceleration never feels sudden or intimidating. Instead, the bike delivers a continuous wave of forward momentum that gives riders a strong sense of control and confidence — even for those experiencing a four-cylinder sportbike for the first time.
Another highlight is the characteristic sound of the inline-four engine. At lower rpm, the exhaust note remains relatively restrained, making daily riding comfortable and refined. But as the revs climb higher, the signature high-frequency scream of the four-cylinder engine comes alive, adding excitement and emotion to the riding experience.
To further improve performance, the KEN660 engine features an efficient ram-air intake system and low-resistance intake design for optimized airflow. Lightweight engineering has also helped reduce engine width and overall weight, contributing to a more compact chassis layout and improved mass centralization.
Riding Experience: Powerful Yet Predictable
Once on the road, the RR660S can best be described in one word: confidence.
The bike delivers strong performance, but never in an overwhelming way. Power comes on smoothly and predictably, allowing riders to feel connected to the machine rather than intimidated by it. For a sportbike, this kind of controllable performance often feels more reassuring than pure aggression.
The RR660S offers two riding modes: Normal and Sport.
Normal mode already provides more than enough power for most riding situations, whether commuting through the city or enjoying twisty mountain roads. Switching to Sport mode sharpens throttle response and delivers a more aggressive character, making it better suited for spirited riding or track use.
In terms of refinement, the RR660S also showcases the natural smoothness expected from an inline-four motorcycle. Even at higher rpm, vibration through the handlebars and footpegs remains well controlled, helping reduce fatigue during longer rides.
More Than Just a Four-Cylinder Sport Motorcycle

So, what is the RR660S really like?
After spending time with the motorcycle, it becomes clear that the RR660S is more than just a machine built around the “inline-four” label. It is a sportbike that successfully balances design, performance, handling, and everyday usability.
For riders who want the sound and excitement of a four-cylinder engine while also valuing riding comfort, refinement, and real-world usability, the RR660S stands out as a motorcycle well worth experiencing.
